Do I need to book?

Yes, we are not an open visitor centre so pre-booking is essential. You can purchase a gift voucher through the website to redeem at a later date or use our online booking system to book an Alpaca Experience. We can take bookings far in advance if you have a specific day in mind. Our Alpaca Experiences normally run on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday afternoons at 14:30(14:00 in Dec/Jan) as well as Saturday mornings at 10:30.

Where are you?

We are on the road B941 between Peat Inn and Largoward in Fife, look for a big green barn at the side of the road and pull into the entrance with the sign saying Bowbridge Alpacas. You can find us @Bowbridge Alpacas Scotland on Google Maps. Be careful not to drive up our neighbour's drive at Hawkswood House. Aim to arrive just 10 minutes before your booking time.

 

What should I wear?

Winter: Wellies are essential. Hat, gloves, scarves, warm, waterproof jackets and layers that you can remove if you do get too warm.

Summer: We are high up so weather can be changeable please bring layers. You may also want to wear sunscreen and insect repellent.

We are not weather dependent but will be outside for most of the visit whenever possible so please come prepared.

 

Do you take cash or card?

We are able to take both cash and card payments. If you have a gift voucher for your visit please bring this with you. You may like to know that we have some wonderful alpaca related products, alpaca wool from the Bowbridge herd, craft kits, and other fleece products and gifts available for sale which can be bought during a visit, they make great souvenirs or special gifts for family and friends.

 

What facilities do you have?

Please be aware you are coming to a working farm. We do not have a coffeeshop, you are welcome to bring your own refreshments to consume towards the end of your visit. We do have a fully wheelchair accessible toilet, hand washing facilities and a small gift shop. If you have any special requirements please let us know before your visit.
